Frank Paolino is the WA Labor State Member for Mount Lawley, a role he approaches with a deep sense of commitment as a local resident and a father of three. He embodies character, heart, and extensive knowledge, consistently working to uphold the rights of citizens and strategize for a better community life.
Originally from Strafford Heights, Queensland, Frank's Italian heritage fuels much of his passion. He has proudly served in numerous Italian diplomatic missions in both Brisbane and Perth, notably as part of the Italian delegation to the 2014 G20 Summit in Brisbane. For over 15 years, Frank has been an active, passionate, and determined member of Perth's Italian Australian community, including a significant tenure as the Secretary of Italian Aged Care. His dedication extends beyond his heritage; for over 30 years, Frank has been an eager volunteer across Australia's Italian and broader multicultural communities.
Frank is immensely proud of his local community and is a fervent supporter of local sport. He's actively involved in several sporting clubs, holding positions as Vice Patron of the Mount Lawley District Cricket Club and Vice Patron of the Yokine Districts Bowling Club.
At the core of Frank's mission are three critical pillars: education, road safety, and mental health. These are issues he holds close to his heart and is committed to championing throughout his time in WA's parliament. He actively supports local schools, recognising the long-term value of strong educational foundations within his electorate. Road safety, particularly around school zones, is another high priority for Frank, who believes in creating safer, more accessible streets for all—drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. Expanding public transport options remains a key part of his broader strategy to improve connectivity and safety across the electorate.
In the realm of mental health, Frank leads with both compassion and determination. He is focused on challenging stigma, promoting understanding, and increasing awareness through education and robust community engagement.
Frank is truly honoured to serve the people of Mount Lawley and takes his role in the Cook Labor Government with utmost seriousness. With unwavering dedication, he strives to be a strong advocate for his community, working tirelessly to enhance everyday life and deliver meaningful, positive change for all Australians.
